Compensating the Victims of Rana Plaza - What Role for the OECD and the National Contact Points?
A joint TUAC-OECD Watch submission made to the 15th Meeting of the National Contact Points and the Informal Ministerial Meeting on Responsible Business Conduct

18/07/2014

This submission explains the funding crisis surrounding the compensation of the victims of Rana Plaza and urges governments to take immmediate action call on their brands to make timely and proportionate payments to the Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund. As of June 2014, the Fund was 23 million USD short of its target 40 million USD, meaning that it would not be possible to compensate fully the victims of Rana Plaza.
