09.15-11.00 Session I. The G20 – From Los Cabos to Moscow: Stocktaking & the way
forward
This session, chaired by Rudolf
Traub-Merz, will discuss the priorities of the Russian G20
Presidency and the G20 process from Los Cabos to Moscow, as well as
its present and future challenges. The ITUC Global Poll Results of
2013 for 13 G20 countries will also be presented. Mikhail Shmakov,
John Evans, General Secretary of Trade Union Advisory Committee to
OECD (TUAC), and Sharan Burrow will provide inputs for
discussion.
11.15-12.45 Session II. L20-B20 Joint Session
Starting with a presentation of the
Joint L20-B20 Statement by Sharan Burrow and Daniel Funes de Rioja,
Vice-President of International Organisation of Employers (IOE),
the discussion – chaired by Mikhail Shmakov and Alexander Shokhin,
President of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
(RSPP) – will revolve around the next steps for cooperation between
the social partners in the G20. This will be followed by a common
press conference, where the Joint Statement and the way forward
will be presented.

14.00-15.00 Session III. The G20 Employment Agenda (open session)
As the mounting global job crisis
needs to be resolved, Labour 20 representatives will discuss
possible ways of how the G20 could induce policy changes. The
session, chaired by Gerardo Alberto Martínez, General Secretary of
the Construction Workers Union of Argentina (UOCRA), will begin
with an overview by Aleksey Vovchenko, Deputy Minister of Labour of
Russia on the preparations of the Labour Minister and Joint Labour
and Finance Minister meeting, followed by a discussion on the
future role of the Employment Task Force. The session will then
cover two central aspects: “Creating Decent Jobs in Small and
Medium-Sized Enterprises” and “Fair and Efficient Labour Markets
for a Jobs-driven Recovery”, commented by Jyrki Raina, General
Secretary of IndustriALL and Veronica Nilsson, Confederal Secretary
of European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC).
15.15-16.45 Session IV. Growth and Recovery Strategies (open session)
Led by Rosamaria Pavanelli, General
Secretary of Public Services International (PSI), this session will
host Guy Ryder, Director-General of International Labour
Organisation (ILO) and Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of
Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to
debate on the G20 Jobs Agenda. Among others, the discussion will be
facilitated by Ignacio Fernández Tojo, General Secretary of
Comisiones Obreras (CCOO), Rudy De Leeuw, President of Belgian
Trade Union Confederation (FGTB) and Barbara Susec from the German
union centre (DGB).
16.45-17.45 Session V. Preparing Consultations with Labour Ministers
This session will cover all matters
concerning the L20 participation in the Social Partners’
Consultations with the G20 Labour Ministers the following
day.
