TUAC PRIORITIES FOR OECD WEEK 2015

28/05/2015

  • Trade Union Priorities for OECD Week 2015pdf

The OECD week begins on June 2, 2015, with the OECD Forum followed by the Ministerial Council Meeting under the premise to « unlock growth and investment » for « people’s future ». Ahead of the meetings and its own plenary session, the TUAC is releasing its priorities for the Ministerial as well as a policy checklist towards reducing inequality. Various trade union speakers will be featured in public sessions of the Forum and in discussions at the Ministerial itself to bring these messages to OECD decision makers.

The two-pager can be downloaded on the right hand side.

The priorities’ list is based on the TUAC official statement to Ministerial Council Meeting ( http://www.tuac.org/en/public/e-docs/00/00/10/72/document_news.phtml ) as well as the TUAC Background Papers on the ‘Role of Collective Bargaining as part of a comprehensive strategy to reduce Income Inequality’ ( http://www.tuac.org/en/public/e-docs/00/00/10/6E/document_news.phtml ) and on ‘Long term investment & accountability of the investment chain’ ( http://www.tuac.org/en/public/e-docs/00/00/10/70/document_doc.phtml ) .
