Global Union Movement Expresses Sympathy and Solidarity with the People of Japan in the Wake of the Tohuko Earthquake

TUAC and global union partners have sent messages of solidarity and sympathy to the Japanese trade union movement in the wake of the devastating earthquake and its consequences.
A statement by TUAC’s affiliate RENGO has been issued and the TUAC Working Group on Economic Policy meeting on 23 March 2011 will receive a report on the situation from RENGO colleagues.
The OECD has issued a comment on the economic consequences.
