New Robin Hood Tax film: 45,000 views in 24 hours

19/02/2014

The Robin Hood Tax campaign film, produced with the support of international agency Oxfam and partners, comes out five years on from the start of Europe’s deepest recession in recent history and went viral within 24 hours just in time for today’s Franco-German meeting in Paris where Ministers are expected to set out their joint vision of the tax.

The video, hitting 75.000 views by now, can be watched on YouTube.

11 European countries look into implementing a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) this year, which could generate up to €37 billion a year, the video highlights that the revenue could not only be used for alleviating the strain on threatened public services in Europe, but also to tackle poverty and climate change in poor countries.
