Trade Union representatives will meet with OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) members on October 30 with the aim to identify concrete initiatives, innovative approaches or agendas, where strengthened cooperation between donors, the labour movement, and other stakeholders – both at the international, regional and national level - can maximise development impact.

For the trade union movement, the decent work agenda and the fight against inequality are essential objectives that should be included in the development agenda.

The event will focus on the potential for labour and donors to engage with the private sector towards making its contribution in achieving the greatest possible economic, social and environmental development impact. The meeting will be an occasion to share innovative national strategies and policies that have proven effective at country level to reduce inequalities and to sustain local development.

Please find the agenda of the meeting on the right-hand side.
